Fujiyama Village

Enjoy a variety of activities before relaxing in a natural hot spring bath.

The Fujiyama area was previously a place where many farmers engaged in sericulture. It’s also a place where you can find now rarely used stone-terraced rice fields. The quiet Sakura River flows away from those fields, passing through a quiet canyon where Fujiyama Village is located. All the facilities have been placed to blend into the surrounding scenery, including the homes, fields, woodlands, and rivers, and are designed in the motif of a traditional sericulture farmer house of the region.

The lodgings, dining hall, and hot spring buildings are arranged in a branch-like pattern, blending with the surrounding topography as they spread out from the central main building. Designed as a facility for familiarization with nature and agricultural and mountain villages, the interior and exterior spaces blend to be as continuous as possible, leading you on to adventure. The lobby is a stunningly appealing space that will inspire you to get outside, bringing in the wind that rustles the treetops and maximizing the use of natural sunlight. Other facilities include a Japanese paper studio, meeting rooms, a BBQ area, and a multi-purpose Village Hall that can accommodate more than 300 people.

The Sakuragawa Onsen, which also offers day-trip bathing, is a hot spring loved not only by locals but also by residents of Setagaya Ward.
