Setagaya Kumin Kenko Mura

Nakano Village

The perfect base for outdoor activities and sports, immersed in natural beauty.

Nakano Village is located on a hillside with a beautiful view of distant Mt. Akagi and Mt. Asama. Apple orchards spread below, and a vast forest spreads behind. The village is always surrounded by colorful seasonal flowers, lush forests, and sweet birdsong. The hotel interior is a fusion of East and West, combining comfort with a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Everyone working here treasures their interactions with our guests while providing incredible experiences unique to Kawaba Village.

In early summer, visitors can enjoy blueberry picking and playing in the rivers, while fireflies can be found in nearby rice fields. In the fall, you can take in the stunning crimson foliage and enjoy interacting with the welcoming locals while picking apples. The attached Forest Kitchen is a fully kitted-out BBQ area, where you can use charcoal made in Kenko Mura to cook fresh local produce. In the forest itself, you can find the Forest Village, Forest School, and charcoal kiln, which operate as bases for woodland volunteers and various outdoor activities.

In addition, the Tenguyama Athletic Park is located not far from the Village. Here, various groups from Setagaya Ward and Kawaba Village often enjoy playing sports, and host many exchanges and friendly matches.
